Sean McKessy is Corporate Secretary of Altria Group, Inc. He is responsible for the official documents of the corporation, such as the official seal, records of shares issued, corporate bylaws, and minutes of all board and committee meetings. 

He serves as the primary liaison between the Board or Directors and Altria Group management and also is responsible for Altria Group's compliance with state and federal securities laws as well as New York Stock Exchange listing requirements and planning the annual meeting of stockholders. 

Sean previously worked as Senior Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for Altria Corporate Services, Inc. (now Altria Client Services Inc.) 

He joined Altria Corporate Services in 2005 after working as Securities Counsel for Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Ill., and as Senior Counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C., ensuring compliance with federal securities laws.

As a lawyer, Sean also has worked in private practice handling litigation matters related to antitrust, health care fraud and insurance coverage practice areas.
